Vijay Chandra

Vijay brings over 11 years of experience in indirect tax advisory, compliance, and litigation management. He has worked with Big Four firms in India and a leading VAT consultancy in Bahrain, managing numerous VAT and GST implementation projects across the GCC and India.

He has led VAT implementation and post-implementation support for clients in Bahrain, UAE, and KSA, including key sectors such as automotive, construction, manufacturing, and FMCG. His work includes streamlining VAT operations, reviewing agreements from an indirect tax perspective, and conducting sector-wide due diligence.

Vijay has also supported GST transition and compliance for various Indian clients and provided litigation support, including representation before tax tribunals. Notably, he assisted one of India’s largest leisure and hospitality groups in indirect tax litigation.

As part of the Regional Tax Advisory team, Vijay contributes to VAT advisory reviews and leads the assessment of accounting treatments for VAT-related transactions
